Description

Provide presale technical support to assigned customers. Develop achievable presale plan for assigned accounts in accordance with business unit sales goals. Identify opportunities for more effective technical support to the sales team. Work with the account teams to develop and recommend VzB services to meet the customers business requirements and as necessary. Responsibilities include technical presentations, network design, proposal writing and client technical service mgmt. SE will work with internal engineering, support, product, service center and IT groups to develop and implement solutions for assigned base. Requires an in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines including IT/Data/Voice/Video applications, convergence technologies, IP-based technologies and Security strategies.
Requirements
A high-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills and customer presentation experience is required. 7+ years in the telecommunications, information technology, and/or systems integration industries. 5+ years previous sales engineering or technical sales consultant. BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related degree. Cisco, Nortel, Microsoft, Checkpoint, CISSP Security certifications a plus. Demonstrated expertise in security, managed services, convergence solutions (VoIP), integrated solutions, hosting, IP-VPN, IPT, LAN/WAN internetworking, and Voice & Data services. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
